This beautiful country house is surrounded by a large garden with its own tree lined drive, a field and woodland where pheasants nest and rabbits roam.

It is 1 mile out of Allendale village and 9 miles south of the historic market town of Hexham. It stands in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

For those who enjoy walking and bird watching, there are many interesting and spectacular walks. Maps are provided and guided walks are sometimes available.

Hadrian's Wall is only 20 minutes drive away, whilst Beamish Museum, Kielder Water and the stately homes of Wallington Hall and Cragside and are a few of the many attractions within easy reach.

There are three bedrooms, all with TV, private facilities and tea makers.

There are two lounges, one with large plasma screen TV and one with a Steinway grand piano.

Guests may use these during the day if the weather is inclement. There is an ample supply of tourist information, games jigsaws and books. The house is centrally heated.

Cat lovers will particularly enjoy the original paintings of felines by international artists, as well as other cat memorabilia and the five living members of the species.

Thornley House is open at Christmas and meals and snacks are available on request.

There is ample parking space.

Thornley House is a no-smoking house.

Bed and Breakfast:	£30.00 per person per night or £175.00 per person per week
Dinner by arrangement:	£17.00
Special Break: "Great North Run "	£40.00 per person per night. (Single occupancy £60.00)
Christmas 2010: 24th to 27th December	" Escape the Christmas Razmataz ! " £185.00 per person includes dinner on 24th, full board Christmas Day & Boxing Day, unlimited mince pies and christmas cake. (Single occupancy £235.00) *Book before Easter and get free* B&B 22nd and 23rd December!**
New Year 2011:	£75.00 per person per night includes dinner. Minimum two night stay. (Single occupancy £115.00).
Single occupancy of double rooms may be available at £45.00 per night Bed & Breakfast (£250.00 per week). An extra bed may be put in a room for a supplement ( Please enquire for details ). If cancellation is made less than 1 week before, at peak times, the full B&B rate will be charged - otherwise there is a 50% cancellation fee. Should the room be subsequently relet, the money will be refunded. Non refundable deposit required.
