There are three bedrooms, all with TV, private facilities and tea makers.

There are two lounges, one with large plasma screen TV and one with a Steinway grand piano.

Guests may use these during the day if the weather is inclement. There is an ample supply of tourist information, games jigsaws and books. The house is centrally heated.

Thornley house garden is member of the national garden scheme and has been invited by the Red Cross to open for them next year.

Last year, the garden was featured on the front page of the Hexham Courant and there was a large 2 page article about it. It featured in "Amateur Gardener" in July and the "Northumbrian" in June.

Children love the garden as there is a distinct feline theme, many animal sculptors and there is a pussy cat cemetry in the wood. There is a safari for children on the days the garden is open to the general public.

Guests at Thornley House frequently leave with full boots as the gardener is delighted to get rid of excess plants!
